Mani House facilitates the community who wishes to do preliminary practice of Vajrayana which is often referred to as Ngondro. This class is open every Saturday afternoon from 3 – 4:30 pm. This is the main practice for those who have received direct Ngondro transmissions from Lama Phurbu Tashi Rinpoche.
Stages of 4 practices in Ngondro are:
1. Preliminary practice such as refuge, prostrations and Bodhichitta,
2. Vajrasattva practice to purify negative karma and remove obscurations,
3. Mandala offering to accumulate merits, and
4. Guru Yoga to receive blessings from Kagyu lineage.
The Ngondro practice is a very important component of all Dharma practices, and is the complete path for lay people to attain complete enlightenment.
